Wayne Lorenz, Chief Engineer and Vice President of Public Works Engineering, is a project manager and senior designer on water and wastewater treatment, water quality, potable water systems, and design and planning of treatment controls for water resources projects. Wayne is skilled at evaluating wastewater, instream and limnological water quality issues, particularly with regard to nutrients, arsenic, selenium and uranium. Wayne has served as the national chairman of the Water Environment Federation (WEF) Nonpoint Sources of Pollution Committee and is an expert on nutrient removal technologies for wastewater and stormwater. Wayne conducts paleohydrologic research in Barbegal, France, and Pompeii, Italy, and he has spent the last ten years studying ancient Roman aqueducts and water-powered mills.
