50th Anniversary of WWE’s Glenwood Springs Office

In 1974, WWE water resources engineer Bill Lorah ventured to Glenwood Springs to begin WWE’s Western Slope office. After 50 years, the Glenwood Springs office is still thriving, now under the dedicated management of Jonathan Kelly. WWE is also celebrating its 63rd anniversary as a company on May 1, 2024.

April 1, 2024 Changes to Construction Stormwater Permit COR400000

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has issued a revised version of CDPS General Permit COR400000, which governs stormwater discharges associated with construction activity. This permit will go into effect on April 1, 2024, and will replace the existing permit, which is set to expire on March 31, 2024. WWE’s Lily Montesano has drafted a memorandum, linked below, providing a brief summary of the changes and clarifications included in the new permit.

Low Head dam SAFETY AWARENESS

Low head dams are dangerous because they look so benign. WWE has joined with a coalition of engineering and dam safety organizations to help the public understand what low head dams are and the hidden danger they present.

Low head dam awareness is especially important during the summer when many folx enjoy our rivers and streams.
