Samuel Plaza is an engineer experienced with hydrology and hydraulics modeling practices and design. He performs engineering related to drainage and flood control, Conditional Letters of Map Revision (CLOMRs), Letters of Map Revision (LOMRs), and design of channel and stormwater improvements. Samuel has a strong understanding of one-dimensional (1D) and two-dimensional (2D) hydraulic principles and their implementation, including cross section placement, Manning’s n-value selection, rain-on-grid hydrology, breakline placement, model calibration, etc. He is also responsible for quality control in other model areas. Samuel has experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, PCSWMM, EPA SWMM, FlowMaster, HY-8, HEC-SSP, CUHP, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD.
