 Cripple
Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company Wetland
Representative Project
WWE has provided services related to wetland delineation and
inventory to Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company for the
last ten years. Over this time, we
have delineated wetlands throughout an area over 100 square miles
within the historic mining district.
Wetlands
have been delineated using accepted procedures of the U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers. Aerial photographs have been used extensively to
assist field work, and special measures have been implemented to
address wetlands caused by historic mining activities, and isolated
wetlands. Wetland mapping has been compiled to assist with
further mine planning.
Meetings
were held with the
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to discuss the work.
