Eldora Mountain Resort Representative ProjectsKeystone Resort. Keystone has retained WWE to help with long-term water quality and water resources planning for future expansions. Water quality control is important for protection of Lake Dillon and WWE prepared a phosphorus control plan and assisted with development of a strategy consistent with county requirements. WWE also evaluated Lake Dillon water quality modeling and represented the ski area at a seminar on Lake Dillon management. Bear Mountain, California. In 1991, WWE was retained by the Bear Mountain Ski Area to participate in field negotiations with regulators from the USACE regarding wetland delineations and 404 permitting. The USACE adopted the wetland boundary as defined by WWE staff and agreed with the general approach to 404 permitting established by WWE. WWE also conducted a sensitive plant inventory and mapped wetlands at the area. Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA). WWE has worked for CSCUSA since the mid-1980s when we conducted a detailed study of the consumptive use loss associated with snowmaking. The results of this work have been widely used for water rights and water resources planning at ski areas throughout Colorado. In subsequent years, WWE represented CSCUSA in hearings before the Colorado Water Quality Control Commission and in negotiations with the EPA regarding stormwater NPDES regulations. We are currently assisting CSCUSA with wide-ranging water resources and quality issues. |
