Drilling
Alluvial Well for Buena Vista
Representative Project
WWE
assisted the Town of Buena Vista, Colorado in applying for water
project funding through the State Drinking Water Revolving Loan
Fund. The design of the water facilities included a two-mile
water transmission line to a 750, 000-gallon, above-ground, welded
steel tank to establish a new pressure zone of service. The
Town's water supply was enhanced by the expansion of the
infiltration gallery system and the drilling of an alluvial
well. The increased groundwater supply that requires only
disinfection treatment has meant less reliance on the surface water
filtration treatment plant.
