Aspen's
Maroon Creek Golf Club
REPRESENTATIVE
PROJECT
WWE
worked closely with the designer and builder of the Maroon Creek
Club to develop an aesthetically pleasing network of ponds and
creeks set off by spectacular waterfalls. Irrigation ditches and
appurtenances were blended into this premier Aspen course, while
ditch flows and functions were maintained for downstream users. We
also prepared a comprehensive integrated pest management plan for
Maroon Creek Club, which enabled it to become an Audubon Society
Signature golf course.
In addition to
providing traditional water engineering services to golf courses,
WWE is on the cutting edge of IPM research and technology. IPM is an
environmentally sound approach to grounds management, which reduces
the need for pesticides and fertilizers through the use of
integrated management. It also reduces the amount of irrigation
required, and saves money and resources.
