Jonathan
E. Jones, is a registered professional engineer in eight states and is the
Chief Executive Officer of Wright Water Engineers, Inc. (WWE), where he
has worked for the past 25 years.
Mr. Jones has Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Civil
Engineering from the University of Virginia, and while he was in college,
he worked as an intern with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in
Washington DC.
Jon
specializes in stormwater, water quality, and BMPs. He serves as
WWE's project manager on the award-winning National BMP database (www.bmp.database.org).
He was WWE's project manager for the June 2001 update of Volumes 1 and 2
of the Denver Urban Drainage Storm Criteria Manual, and he is currently
managing the update/rewrite of the City and County of Denver Storm
Drainage Criteria Manual. He chaired the ASCE/WEF committee that prepared
the widely disseminated 1992 reference, Manual of Practice for the
Design and Construction of Urban Stormwater Management Systems.
Mr. Jones has been an active member of American Society of Civil
Engineer’s Urban Water Resources Research Council since 1981, including
four terms as chair of the Council.
