George E. Cranmer Award from Colorado Open Lands

On June 7, Colorado Open Lands honored Ruth and (WWE founder) Ken Wright with the George E. Cranmer Award.  Cranmer was Denver’s long-time “parks man” and conservationist.  The award was given to the Wrights for their legacy of protecting Colorado’s land and water.  The Wrights were honored to have the award presented by two longtime friends, Governor Richard Lamm and Justice Gregory Hobbs.

Former winners of the Cranmer Award include Valerie Gates, Steve Wooten and Sue Anschutz Rodgers. The award was part of a sold-out celebration called Cheers for Conservation at Five Fridges Farm in Wheat Ridge.
