WWE has adopted conservative, sustainable design criteria to promote facilities that will last a long time and provide sound return on public and private investment funding. WWE has played a significant role in the planning and design of important projects that have endured and have been sustainable over time, such as the Harvard Gulch major drainageway, Confluence Park (confluence of the South Platte River and Cherry Creek), the Grant Ranch stormwater treatment system and numerous stormwater management facilities in the Denver metropolitan area that were designed in accordance with the criteria in the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District (UDFCD) Urban Storm Drainage Criteria Manual.
