WWE was involved with the redevelopment of the Green Gables Golf Course located near Wadsworth and Jewell on Sanderson Gulch in Jefferson County, Colorado. WWE worked with the developer for the project and the site civil engineer, Enertia Consulting Group, on issues related to channel restoration, Section 404 permitting and mitigation, floodplain permitting, construction dewatering, and other technical items.

WWE’s work on the Green Gables redevelopment began as a water rights assignment.  Based on WWE’s initial work, the scope of work was significantly expanded to include providing assistance with improvements to Sanderson Gulch, and permitting of the floodplain and wetlands.  We worked with the site civil engineer on major drainageway design, a Conditional Letter of Map Revision (CLOMR), and Mile High Flood District maintenance eligibility.  Following construction, WWE completed a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) for changes to the floodplain in Jefferson County and Lakewood. WWE’s wetland permitting team worked with the site civil engineer and landscape architects to develop a plan for a wetland and open space corridor along the channel to provide ecological and recreational benefits.  WWE coordinated with the Corps of Engineers to obtain a Section 404 Individual Permit for the project and advised the contractor and owner on plantings.
