Since 2002, WWE has been performing water resources engineering and design work for Hendricks Properties, a collection of eight ranches in and around Gateway, Colorado.  The work has been managed out of WWE’s Durango office and has included:

  • Water rights analyses, inventories, and water supply planning.

  • Design of a transient non-community public water system per Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and Environmental Protection Agency regulations to deliver water to a proposed general store and existing community center with post office and branch library.

  • Location, design, permitting, and construction oversight for two exploratory test wells and one production well.

  • Floodplain modeling analysis and Conditional Letter of Map Revision for a proposed development along the Dolores River, West Creek, and John Brown Creek.

  • Dam inspection surveys, emergency action plans, and outlet repairs for three Gateway dams at Casto, Craig #1, and Craig #2 Reservoirs.

  • Design and construction oversight of an irrigation diversion structure on West Creek, including a concrete cutoff wall with downstream grouted boulder sloping drop structure, diversions to two irrigation ditches on opposite banks of the creek, bypass pipelines, and fish ladder construction.

  • Development of pond grading and edge treatment concepts for creation of an entrance feature pond, including connections to irrigation ditches, pond maintenance drains, and outlets to maintain water quality within the pond.
