WWE  is looking to hire an experienced water rights/water resources engineer, hydrologist or geologist for our Durango office.  The qualified individual will have achieved, at a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in an engineering, earth science or environmental program that emphasized water resources AND have 5+ years of water rights experience including the preparation of expert reports for water rights adjudications, water rights evaluations and due diligence.  The successful candidate must demonstrate water supply planning and hydrology experience as well as excellent writing skills and an expertise in spreadsheets and Colorado Decision Support System (CDSS) tools.

WWE is seeking a mid-level employee to serve as a water and civil engineering senior project engineer. Project managers at WWE play an active technical role in projects, working with a multi-disciplinary team of project engineers and scientists. This is not purely a management position – active technical work and leadership are essential components of this position. Work experience (3-5 years) in stormwater management, hydrology, hydraulics, and National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permitting is required. AutoCAD and/or GIS skills are also desirable. Good oral communication and technical writing skills are essential.

Wright Water Engineers Inc. (WWE) has an immediate opening for a junior level civil design engineer in our Denver office.  This position offers a unique opportunity to work on a range of water engineering projects for an engineering firm that has operated in Colorado for over 56 years.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • 3 years minimum consulting engineering experience necessary, with knowledge of design and construction practices and time performing field/construction observation.
  • Must be able to develop construction plans, specifications and bid documents, evaluate engineering problems and write technical reports.  Ability to work with limited supervision while maintaining project intent to meet project goals on time.
  • E.I.T. and ability to obtain Colorado P.E. in the future.
  • Experience with AutoCAD®.

The successful candidate will work with a diverse staff of experienced engineers on a wide range of projects such as water and wastewater treatment process design/evaluation, potable/non-potable/reuse/pipeline design, dam design, groundwater supply system design, site grading, storm drainage design, dewatering/groundwater management design, aquifer recharge and permitting, water and wastewater pump station design, water source supply studies, contract administration of civil engineering projects and conducting field observation of projects under construction.
